Novelty 2018.
A Rare Treasure from the Hummel Archives Discover a piece of history with In the Orchard (HUM 461), a remarkable 2018 Novelty that remained hidden in the Hummel archives for decades. This debut figurine portrays a thoughtful young gardener pausing to inspect a ripe, red apple from the day's harvest. As the little boy ponders whether his fruit will become winter jam or a sweet harvest treat, the incredible detail of his rustic attire and the vibrant orchard fruit shine through. Because this motif was kept under lock and key for years, its recent release marks a significant event for collectors seeking "first-time" authentic designs.
Create a Beautiful Harvest-Themed Display:
-
Apple Tree Girl (HUM 141) – The quintessential partner for any orchard scene; pair the harvester with the girl in the branches.
-
Apple Tree Boy (HUM 142) – Complete the "Apple Tree" trio by adding the boy counterpart to your harvest collection.
-
Harvest Thanksgiving / Sheafbundle (HUM 2439) – Expand the autumn theme with the boy carrying a pumpkin and a bundle of grain.
-
In the Meadow (HUM 459) – Add a touch of floral contrast with the girl picking daisies near the orchard edge.

I have been looking at this figurine for a while. Reminds me of St. Fiacre patron of gardeners. Lovely and serene to look at.
