More Information
Significant variations involve the beer stein and the color of the radishes. The beer stein on early pieces sometimes featured the initials "HB" and the radishes had a greenish cast. Figurines with these particular details are rare and are priced quite high. Another significant variation involves figurines from both Trademark 2 and 3 era where the radishes are colored orange to more closely resemble carrots than radishes. In the summer of 2002, a smaller version of For Father was modeled by master sculptor Helmut Fischer, this figurine carried the model number 87/2/0, a "First Issue" backstamp and Trademark 8. This young fellow was also selected to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of M.I. Hummel figurines.
