In 1982 the factory released a smaller version, Hum 396/2/0 (4.25 inches), which bears a copyright of 1981 while the larger a copyright of 1971. There are no significant production variations. It has been noted that Skrobek considers this piece one of his favorite designs of the hundreds he modeled during his many years at Goebel. Ride Into Christmas motif was used on the 1975 Annual Plate, Hum 268. This figurine was used to mark the "75th Anniversary" of M.I. Hummel. Only 75 hand-numbered figurines were released with a golden backstamp.
