This is what a happy boy's smile looks like! Our Hummel figurine "Keeper of the Goal" is holding the goalkeeper gloves in his hand and the ball under his arm - clearly excited about the game. The little boy's cheeks are still red from the exertion and his sweaty blond hair hangs over his forehead. The figurine is rounded off with a light blue-green cap, short leather pants, a matching shirt and matching shoes.
The female version of "Keeper of the Goal" can be found in "Ready to Play?" (HUM 2274). "Winner" (HUM 2420) is another interesting figurine. Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel captured moments of happiness like these during her lifetime and immortalized the most beautiful of them in her drawings. Today the drawings serve as templates for the Hummel figurines, which have been modeled and designed by hand since 1935. "Keeper of the Goal" was welcomed into the Hummel family in 2008.
