Umbrella Girl - HUM 152/B/II) HSC 69139093
Well-prepared for the elements, our brave little girl huddles beneath her oversized red umbrella to shield herself from the rain. While she waits patiently for the storm to pass and the sun to peek through the clouds, she might need a gentle reminder—tuck those feet in, or you’ll end up with wet socks!
This charming figurine has a storied history within the Hummel Manufaktur. Her male counterpart HUM 152 A 2/0 was designed earlier. In 1972, the larger version of this figurine was redesigned with a more delicate, thinner umbrella and an updated finish, enhancing the graceful silhouette collectors love today. From the vibrant red of the umbrella to the curious expression on her face, every detail is hand-painted in Rödental, Germany.
No umbrella is quite big enough for two, which is why she is best displayed with her traditional companions:
-
Umbrella Boy (HUM 152/II/A): The perfect match for this little girl, ensuring both remain dry during the April showers.
-
Smiling Through the Rain (HUM 408/I): A similar, heartwarming motif featuring a young lady making herself comfortable by the roadside while she waits for the clouds to clear
