Sensitive Hunter- Hum 6/I
All little boys are excited to venture into the woods with their Dads, carrying with their trusty guns over their shoulders, hoping to return home with a prize. But, this timid young hunter has come face-to-face with a little brown rabbit, so he will pass up the shot and return to the forest another day. Sensitive Hunter first modeled in 1935 by Arthur Moeller. It was originally called The Timid Hunter.
Sculptor: Arthur Möller
Made in Germany
Hum 6/I; Height 4.75"
The most notable variation is the shape of the young man's suspenders on his back - they can be found in both the "X" and "H" shape. The color of the rabbit was usually orange until early in the 1980s when it was changed to dark brown. In 1984 the 7.50" (6/II) size was temporarily withdrawn followed by (6/2/0) in 1999 and finally in 2002 the 4.75" (6/0) version. The current figurine (Hum 6/2/0) has returned to join the Hummel Classics series and is stamped with trademark 10. Made in Germany.
