After all, a chimney full of debris can easily catch fire and reduce not only the house, but entire neighborhoods to rubble. Chimney sweepers, who keep the chimney clean, are therefore traditionally considered good luck charms. Anyone who touches a chimney sweeper’s arm can get some of this good luck.
