Umbrella Girl (Hum 152/B/II)
Well prepared for the bad weather - our little bumblebee girl has pulled her red umbrella high over her head to avoid getting wet. Well protected, she is waiting for the storm to pass and the sun to come out again. But watch out, little brave girl - your feet have to be under the umbrella too if you don't want wet socks.
Seven years after the figure (HUM 152 A 2/0), the female figure was also modelled: in 1949, Arthur Möller breathed life into the little girl under the umbrella. The large size was redesigned in 1972 with a thinner umbrella and a new finish.
A similar motif with an umbrella can be found in the figure (HUM 408/I). Here, a bumblebee girl is also waiting for the rain to stop. Until then, the young lady makes herself comfortable by the side of the road. "Umbrella Boy (HUM 152/II/A) is her companion.
