"One on the left, two on the right...": The little boy watches the eager knitter with excitement. This original M.I. Hummel figurine is not only impressive because of the cute appearance, but also because of its delicate craftsmanship. Like all Hummel figurines, this one is traditionally hand-made and is modeled on the original drawings by Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel.
A ball of yarn and some knitting needles is all it takes to make your own scarf, sweater and mittens. Or is it? As the curious onlooker is learning, it takes a skill and care to cast on, knit, purl, cast off, and end up with a good-looking garment.
To complete your Hummel knitter girls, "Favorite Pastime" (HUM 9290) is available to add to your collection.
