Traditionally, the night watchman was equipped with a lantern and a horn, as well as a halberd, a polearm with a sharp tip and an axe-shaped blade. He also checked whether city gates, front doors and windows were well locked. At night, he also had the right to question suspicious persons, arrest them and bring them to the police station.

Our new Hummel night watchman is making sure everyone can sleep on in safety. This is a beautiful addition not just to collector’s cabinets, but also to the bedside tables of young and old, to fend off nightmares and bring a smile onto every face. He is working together with "Hear Ye Hear Ye" (HUM 15/0).

Hummel has plenty of figurines based on professions.
