Umbrella Girl - HUM 152/B/0
Well prepared for the bad weather - our little Hummel girl has pulled her red umbrella high over her head to avoid getting wet. Well protected, she is waiting for the storm to pass and the sun to come out again. But watch out, little brave girl - your feet have to be under the umbrella too if you don't want wet socks.
Seven years after the "Umbrella Boy"(HUM 152 A 2/0) introduced, the female figure was also modeled. It was redesigned in 1972 with a thinner umbrella and a new finish.
You can find a similar motif with an umbrella in the "Smiling Through" (HUM 408/I). A Hummel girl is also waiting for the rain to stop. Until then, the young lady is making herself comfortable on the side of the road with her basket and a bird.
