The lovely scene is now in the White Edition!
The happiness of life is in the little things. For our feathered friend, it's the bowl of food that our Hummel girl is holding out for him very reverently. She quietly stretches out her arm and holds out her spoon to the little bird. How delicious!
HUM 402 was originally penned by Gerhard Skrobek and was first brought onto the market in 1973. The little girl's apron and her necklace are particularly enchanting, as they appeared again and again in Maria Innocentia Hummel's drawings. Her astonished facial expression also shows how curious and enthusiastic young children can be when they experience the wonder of nature. Even without painting, the girl's facial features are clearly recognizable in HUM 402.
