Let It Snow modeled by master sculptor Helmut Fischer in 1997 was release with its companion piece First Snow, Hum 2035 in the United States in 1999.

It carries a "First Issue" special backstamp in the first year of production, along with Trademark 7. These two adorable figurines were part of the Frosty Friends collector's set. The worldwide limited set of 20,000 also contained a white Steiff snowman-like bear. This figurine was used to mark the "75th Anniversary" of M.I. Hummel. Only 75 hand-numbered figurines were released with a golden backstamp.
