Lamb - Standing (Nativity Piece) - HUM 2230/P
The Nativity Scene - a Christian Christmas symbol.
The Lamb of God - a name that goes back to John the Baptist. Originally, the lamb was not one of the animals that appear in the Christmas story - in the version of the Gospel of Matthew, animals and shepherds do not appear at all. Nevertheless, in today's version of the biblical story, it is the stable animals that warm the newborn child and welcome it into the world.
The innocent animal fits perfectly into the ensemble of the biblical story. Together with its counterpart, (HUM 2230/O) and (HUM 2230/M), it rounds off the scene wonderfully. In addition to the stable animals, shepherds and angels are also part of the nativity scene.
