Kitty Kisses - HUM 2033

Have you put on weight, my little fluffy friend? Our Hummel boy is astonished when he lifts his cat out of his basket - the animal weighs more than he thought. But never mind, both remain one heart and one soul.

Again and again, Maria Innocentia's drawings capture moments where children are completely absorbed in their care for animals. The scene shown in HUM 2033 is therefore also easy to imagine. Whether the Franciscan sister had an animal herself is not known.

Incidentally, HUM 2033 fits in perfectly with “Mommy’s Darling”, (HUM 2007/III)  who also lovingly cares for her furry friends.
